Access was restored after changing it back. I also changed the IP address in the original working firewall rule which broke access from the jumpbox. I confirmed the IP did not change in between adding the rule and attempting access. The second has a mutable IP, however I did a whoami, added the firewall rule for that IP and it will not allow access. On the second IP (desktop), I get a "Please wait while the repository browser is initializing" that never resolves.įor clarification, the first is a jumpbox that has a permanently static IP. When I put in the URL in Tortoise on the first IP (my jumpbox), it resolves immediately and asks for SVN credentials.

Of course, it will have limitation that both trac side and remote server side need svn 1.4 or later. It may require smaller change than implementing pysvn backend. The Repository Web Interface is seamlessly integrated with all authentication and authorization features of VisualSVN Server. I guess there is a way to access remote repository by using standard python binding of subversion 1.4 like svnsync (written by C) does.

In conjunction with scheduled repository verification, the Backup and Restore feature provides a reliable data protection from human errors and software or hardware failures.
Distributed repositories are writable and functionally equivalent to regular Subversion repositories. Our VisualSVN Server is located on an externally facing edge server which allows access to our SVN server from both sides of the corporate firewall.
